BCS Bowl and Title Picks and More

This year's NCAA football season should be as crazy as ever, with the exception of last year's season, that is.

We won't see another Appalachain State/Michigan or Stanford/USC-type upset this year most likely, but don't be surprised to see a ton of other upsets on a smaller scale.

NCAA football 2008-2009 rankings (going into the NCAA season for the BCS)

This is a quick list of the five best teams in the country, not how I think they will finish:

1. USC-

They simply have more talent than anyone else. QB is a question mark but I like Mark Sanchez better than OSU's Todd Boeckman.

2. Georgia-

The Bulldogs are being dropped in some NCAA football rankings because of their difficult schedule but they have the 2nd-most talent in college football overall.

3. Ohio State-

I like this team across the board but Todd Boeckman is their achilles heel. If he would just manage the game better and know his role he could take OSU all the way, though.

4. Florida-

Even with injuries mounting, Florida will be a force in college football. The offense will annihilate several hapless foes.

5. West Virginia-

As long as they have Pat White, they'll be a threat to go all the way. I can't justify ranking Oklahoma ahead of them after WVU thrashed them and after OU's bad BCS performances.

NCAA Football 2008-2009 predictions

-Notre Dame will not win 11 games. Lou Holtz needs to get his head checked after that prediction. Try half that...and round up to six. The offensive line is bad and Charlie Weis seems to neglect fundamentals too much in his practices.

-UCLA will be much improved. The Bruins always had talent but no gameplan on offense and now they have Norm Chow.

-Tim Tebow will repeat as Heisman Trophy will repeat as Heisman Trophy winner because the Gators' running game will be better and allow him to rack up more yardage through the air. People will note how much of an improved passer he has become even though he's already very good at passing.

-Michigan will win at least 8 games. They're not a threat to make the BCS Title game but once they figure it out their superior talent will take over. They dropped 42 on Florida with a spread they put in over 3 1/2 weeks or so; they have the kind of talent that can play any system.

-Illinois will take a step back. Rashard Mendenhall was a big key to that team and they have tough road games against Penn State and Michigan among others.

-Missouri will win the Big 12 North and also the championship game and Chase Daniel will make a serious push for the Heisman Trophy.

OK OK OK, enough of the ND not winning as many games as predicted by Lou Holtz. ND was slap in the face last year. Do you think that the school, the student body(players that make up part of the study), and Coach Weis will stand for another season like 2007. The Stanford game is an example of what the talent that Notre Dame has. Four area of focus for Notre Dame: 1.Offensive line 2. Offinsive backfield 3. Defensive backfield 4. Recieving will be improved if not better than 2006 season.
